The Sony Reon Pocket PRO Wearable Thermo Device (Cool & Warm) is the newest and upgraded (6th Gen) of the original Reon Pocket Wearable Thermo Device for outdoor or indoor use in any season.

In addition to all features of the previous generation, the new PRO model brings a myriad of improvements and innovations, such as the new Reon Pocket TAG to automatically or manually control the Reon Pocket without using the mobile app, dual termo modules, improved battery life, improved sensors to detect motion and temperature, and an improved body heat absorption.

Compared with previous versions, the new Reon Pocket PRO has also improved its maximum battery capacity. Now, it offers double battery life compared to the previous model, and can be used for approximately 34 hours at COOL level 1.

The Reon Pocket PRO has two new independent thermo modules, approximately doubling the cooling area. A newly-developed heat-dissipating fan with approximately twice the airflow of conventional fans has been installed, resulting in an evolution in heat absorption, which indicates the cooling performance of the thermo-module, up to approximately 2x that of the earlier model.

The Reon Pocket Tag accessory (included) is a small wearable device with built-in sensors that automatically detect the temperature and humidity of the environment around you to control the Reon Pocket device in a smarter way.

The Reon Pocket PRO also has new automatic temperature adjustment function with sensor technology. The SMART COOL, MY MODE and AUTO modes allow you to set different temperatures based on movement (running, walking, sitting) or based on the body temperature detected by the sensor.

The AUTO START/STOP function allows you to start and stop the device automatically without the mobile app or having a smartphone around. The device automatically starts cooling/warming when you place it at the base of your neck, and the device automatically stops when removed and placed on a table for example.

Controlled via its Bluetooth Smart Tag or using the mobile app* for iOS and Android, the Reon Pocket can be adjusted to keep you cool during the summer or warm during the winter with its dual WARM & COLD mode that makes it useful all-year-round.

With additional temperature control modes and an upgraded battery, the new Sony Reon Pocket PRO features a SUS316L stainless steel contact pad that directly draws heat from your skin and transfers cooler temperatures more easily to the skin.

It comes with an adjustable neckband. included. The new Reon Pocket PRO is sweat resistant so that it can also be worn during various forms of light exercise and outdoor activities.

The Reon app is avaialble in Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Having an iOS store account from any of these places will allow you to get the iOS app.

Reon Pocket models 1 to 4 were all made in Japan, but Sony has now opened a dedicated plant in China to manufacture the new Reon Pocket PRO and upcoming versions from now on.

When using the neckband, your Sony Reon Pocket may not perfectly be in contact with your skin depending on circumstances like movement (e.g. walking, running, jogging), your position, neck size, and position of the neckband itself. The special Sony Reon Pocket T-shirts are designed to solve that, making the device in contact with your skin as much and as perfectly as possible.

The lowest setting will offer a gentle cooling around the device. Increasing the settings to maximum level, a larger area on your back and neck will experience a stronger cooling sensation. For better results, Sony recommends that you use the Reon Pocket with the Reon T-Shirts instead of the neck support.

Differently from air conditioners, the Sony Reon Pocket uses thermoelectric technology to cool down (or raise) your body temperature when you keep it in contact with your body. Taking advantage of the Peltier Effect (a scientific concept in thermodynamics), temperature difference is created by applying a voltage between two electrodes connected to a semiconductor material.
